As Musikfest winds down, there's something special about the final weekend. The crowds are energetic, the streets are alive with music, and every corner of Bethlehem seems to have something happening.

Whether this is your first Musikfest or your annual tradition, here's a simple guide to making the most of the festival's last three days.

Friday: Kick Off the Weekend

Friday is the perfect balance—not quite as crowded as Saturday, but packed with entertainment.

Don't Miss

  • Live music across dozens of free stages throughout North and South Bethlehem
  • Food vendors serving everything from classic festival favorites to international cuisine
  • Local artisans and shopping throughout the festival grounds
  • Evening performances that keep the city buzzing well into the night

If you're looking for a ticketed headliner, Parker McCollum takes the stage Friday evening at the Wind Creek Steel Stage.

Brick & Bushel Tip: Start your evening in Historic Bethlehem before making your way to SteelStacks. You'll enjoy beautiful architecture, unique shops and a more relaxed pace before the nighttime crowds arrive.

Saturday: The Biggest Day of the Festival

If you only attend one day of Musikfest, make it Saturday.

From late morning until nearly midnight, the city becomes one giant celebration.

Our Suggested Saturday

Morning

  • Grab breakfast in Historic Bethlehem.
  • Browse local shops before the crowds build.

Lunch

  • Try one of the many festival food vendors.
  • Don't be afraid to wander—the best discoveries are often the ones you weren't looking for.

Afternoon

  • Explore multiple free music stages.
  • Watch street performers.
  • Visit local artists and crafts.

Evening

  • Find a spot for your favorite band.
  • Enjoy one last round of festival food.
  • Take in the atmosphere after dark when the lights come on across SteelStacks and Main Street.

Saturday's Wind Creek Steel Stage concert features Yellowcard and Taking Back Sunday, making it one of the biggest nights of the festival.

Sunday: Soak It All In

Sunday has a different feel.

There's still plenty happening, but people slow down a bit. It's a great day to revisit favorite food vendors, hear one more concert and simply enjoy walking around Bethlehem before another Musikfest comes to a close.

Sunday Ideas

  • Enjoy a relaxed brunch before heading downtown.
  • Catch one final free performance.
  • Visit any stages you missed earlier in the week.
  • Pick up souvenirs from local artists.
  • End the evening at SteelStacks.

The festival concludes Sunday night with AJR at the Wind Creek Steel Stage.

Five Musikfest Tips

Arrive Earlier Than You Think

Parking fills quickly, especially Saturday.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

You'll easily walk several miles moving between stages.

Stay Hydrated

August temperatures can be warm, and there's a lot of walking.

Don't Plan Every Minute

Some of the best Musikfest moments happen when you stumble across a band you've never heard before.

Explore Both Sides of Bethlehem

Historic Downtown and SteelStacks each have their own personality. Spend time in both.

Beyond the Music

One of the things that makes Musikfest unique is that it isn't just about concerts.

Throughout the festival you'll find:

  • Dozens of free music stages
  • Local and regional food vendors
  • Artisan markets
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Historic tours and exhibits
  • Interactive art experiences
  • Kids' activities, including the Crayola Creativity Tent and community art projects.

Make a Weekend of It

If you're visiting from outside the area, don't rush home after the final concert.

Spend some time exploring everything Bethlehem has to offer:

  • Walk Historic Main Street
  • Visit the Moravian Historic District
  • Explore SteelStacks
  • Enjoy one more great local meal
  • Take in the city's unique blend of history, arts and culture

One Last Weekend to Celebrate

For ten days every summer, Bethlehem transforms into one of America's largest free music festivals. The final weekend captures everything people love about Musikfest: incredible live music, amazing food, local culture and a community that knows how to celebrate.

Whether you're coming for a headline concert, your favorite local band or simply the atmosphere, the last three days are the perfect time to experience why Musikfest has become one of Pennsylvania's signature summer traditions.
